Event Reports

Here we report on the success of our Adoption Days, held monthly in Redwood City, Danville, Martinez, Palo Alto and San Jose, along with the bi-monthly Sacramento Adoption Day.  Thanks to everyone who has come out to meet our volunteers and dogs, and who has adopted a German Shepherd during one of the Adoption Days!

San Jose
Bark in the Park
September 16, 2017

The GSRNC booth had a very busy day at Bark in the Park. We had several serious enquiries regarding adopting and a few people interested in volunteering.

We also enjoyed talking to many alumni that dropped by our booth, including:

Cindy Deangelo - adopted Lasso in 2016.
Chris Lopez - adopted Jedore (now Samantha) in 2016.
Jeanie Aling - adopted Black Jade in 2014.
Richard & Alicia Dayton - adopted Zack in 2013.
Hector Guerra - adopted Mishka in 2017.
Don Barber - Muska in 2013.
Greg Dietz - adopted Gibbon (now Rufus) in 2016.
Arstal Buki - adopted Friday (now Rida) in 2013 and Makana in 2016.
Aimee Walsh - adopted Luther Cody (now Dace).
Annalisa & Chris DiLeonardo - adopted Gabriel in 2007.
Angela Bernhardt - adopted Acacia.
Sophie - adopted Dizzy Lizzy.
Patrick Hare & Amy Walsh - adopted Luther Cody (now Jace) in 2017.
Lori Nielsen - adopted Satan (now Daisy) in 2005 and Shawnee in 2017.
Fawn She - adopted Freya and Ersa in 2015.

Luther Cody was adopted in May of this year and has already been well trained in herding sheep. He was one of the exhibitors in the sheep herding demonstration at Bark!

We sold 3 raffle tickets, invited people to join us at Wags to Riches and took in $107 in donations. Bark has always provided wonderful exposure for GSRNC and this year was no exception with a record number of people coming by the booth.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers Steve, Phyllis, Joan, Amara, Ethan, Lorraine, John, Lani and Ann for doing such a wonderful job of representing GSRNC.
