Females:

Blossom
Blossom is a 7 year old black and tan female; weighing in at a svelte 58 pounds. She was surrendered to GSRNC following the death of her owner, who adopted her several years ago through GSRSF. So, once again, Blossom is waiting for her new permanent home.

Blossom is quiet, well behaved, and obedient. She does not run, bark, overreact or just plain make a fool of herself; rather, she acts like a Lady -- dignified, reserved and polite. She appears to prefer a calm and quiet lifestyle and home life. She enjoys car rides where she can sit while looking out at the passing scenery, with an open window for an occasional sniff. The hustle and bustle inside a store like “Home Depot” is a bit much for her as demonstrated by her desire to make for the exit as soon as possible. Trips to “Petco” however, are appreciated as there is much to sniff. Being a true Lady she appears to be house trained and has shown no signs of counter surfing, begging, or snatching of treats. She is currently polishing her sit, stay, heal and come commands while at her foster home.

Blossom will do best in a low to moderate activity home that lovers her often and spends plenty of time with her. She would be a great companion dog for someone who was home a lot of the time or could take her with them during the day.

Foster Home Needed! Delilah is living in a kennel and needs a foster home - won't you consider sharing your home with her for a while? fostering information

Delilah
Delilah is a 2 year old all black female in a compact size. She is an adorable, happy, energetic girl, who likes other playful male dogs but probably not female dogs. She has not been tested with cats but seems to have high prey drive and with her excellent athletic ability and speed, could probably chase down small animals easily. Delilah is housebroken, likes car rides, and likes to be with people. She needs obedience lessons as she was one of about 30 dogs living with a breeder/horder, so never had enough one on one attention. Delilah is one of those small, intense GSDs who will always look like a puppy. An active family with time to devote to her would love adding her to their life. She can keep up with anything you want to do, she just needs some obedience training so her energy is appropriately channeled. Delilah is being fostered in the Fresno area.

Males:

Calvin
Calvin is a 3 year old very loving and happy male who appears to have been left on his own without much if any training. He happily greets everyone he meets and thinks every command means rolling over on your back. Calvin is sensitive and sometimes still thinks when you call him it must mean he did something bad. He has become very comfortable in his foster home and is a very easy dog to have around the house. He can spend days alone while his owner works, but really enjoys being inside with the family when they are around. Calvin has strong prey drive and would not do well with cats. He has been respectful and friendly to dogs he's met, but will not be a good match for a dominant dog. Calvin did very well in his obedience class and seems to enjoy the mental stimulus it provides. He's a bit immature for a 3 year old but a quick learner. He would make a good family dog for someone committed to continuing his training, provide regular exercise and a loving home.

Foster Home Needed! Rith is living in a kennel and needs a foster home - won't you consider sharing your home with him for a while? fostering information

Rith
Rith is a big handsome black and red male, about 7 years old. He is pretty mellow and seems housebroken. He knows no commands, but is pretty manageable. He is a great walking partner. He is not a barker either, so would not be good as an alarm barker, but his presence would do the job. He is good with big dogs, but not with cats or small dogs.
